About Jeffrey J. Timlin
Each day, I continue to grow as a dedicated attorney, embracing the profound responsibility of assisting individuals with their legal challenges. It is paramount to me that people perceive my genuine concern for their well-being and recognize my unwavering commitment to securing favorable outcomes for them.
My educational journey began at Michigan State University, where I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in 1979. I subsequently pursued my legal studies at Thomas M. Cooley Law School, culminating in my graduation in September 1982. Following law school, I embarked on a career at the Detroit Prosecutors Office, where I cultivated my passion for litigation. In 1984, I relocated to Colorado and assumed the role of a law clerk at Phillip Lowery, P.C. Shortly thereafter, I established my private legal practice, specializing in criminal litigation, Dependency and Neglect Cases, and all facets of family law.
As I nurtured and expanded my own practice, I dedicated myself to perfecting my trial advocacy skills. Over the course of my career, I have had the privilege of participating in more than 150 jury trials, including over 10 1st degree murder trials. Simultaneously, I have concentrated on serving in the realm of Dependency and Neglect law. It became evident that families involved with the Department of Human Services often required legal support from an attorney well-versed in both criminal and family court systems. By specializing in these three areas of law, I can offer a unique opportunity to assist my clients on multiple fronts.
I am fortunate to share my knowledge and experience by instructing and mentoring fellow attorneys through organizations like the National Institute for Training Attorneys, the State Training Program for Dependency and Neglect cases, and the Office of the Child Representative. I remain actively engaged in the legal community as a member of the Arapahoe County Bar Association and the Denver Bar Association.
