About Jesse Melendrez

Jesse Melendrez grew up in Southern California and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Political Science from California State University, Long Beach. While in college, he contributed to a research team that explored the connection between short-term memory and creative thinking, resulting in published findings. This academic foundation sparked his passion for understanding complex problems and finding practical solutions, a theme that carried into his legal career.

Driven by a commitment to support meaningful causes, Jesse attended Rutgers School of Law in New Jersey, where he immersed himself in rigorous legal training. During his studies, he gained hands-on experience through legal clinics, assisting clients with matters ranging from domestic violence protection to estate planning. His role as Notes Editor for the Rutgers Journal of Law and Public Policy honed his research and writing skills, which remain vital to his practice. After earning his Juris Doctorate and passing the California and Washington State Bar Exams, Jesse has dedicated over a decade to representing clients, including major credit unions and individuals in workers’ compensation cases. Outside of his legal work, he enjoys traveling, experiencing live music, and discovering the beauty of the world.
