She obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Georgia before completing her Juris Doctorate at the Charlotte School of Law. During her legal education, Ta'Juanna Lyons served as one of the Directors for the Innocence Alliance, a group committed to pursuing justice for individuals wrongfully accused.
