Eric M. Steven serves as the principal attorney at the Steven Law Office, located in Spokane. His legal practice primarily focuses on matters related to landlord-tenant relations and housing. Mr. Steven represents clients in both state and federal courts across the eastern counties of Washington and Northern Idaho. His legal knowledge encompasses various aspects of landlord-tenant law, including eviction, ejectment, commercial litigation, fair housing claims, and a wide range of landlord-tenant issues. Notably, he is among the select few attorneys in Washington who have successfully defended a fair housing case in a federal court jury trial.

Mr. Steven acts as legal counsel for a diverse clientele, including property owners, landlords, management companies, mobile home parks, subsidized housing providers, and the Spokane Housing Authority. He actively participates in legislative reform efforts and has provided advisory counsel to the Washington Apartment Association, now known as the Washington Rental Owner's Association (www.waapt.org). Additionally, Mr. Steven is affiliated with the Manufactured Housing Communities of Washington (MHCW) and the Washington Multi-Family Housing Association (WMFHA).

Mr. Steven, a licensed Real Estate Instructor, frequently delivers lectures to various audiences, including attorneys, property managers, law enforcement professionals, and property owners, as part of continuing legal education programs. Over the past few years, he has been an esteemed speaker at the "Trends" Conference, the largest rental housing management event in the Northwest, held in Seattle, Washington. In 2003, Mr. Steven earned recognition as one of the most highly rated CLE instructors in the state, leading to his selection by the Washington State Bar Association to speak in the WSBA Encore "Best of CLE" series.
