About Ryan W. Lane

I've lived my entire life in South Carolina, specifically in Lake City situated within lower Florence County, commonly known as part of the Pee Dee region. My educational journey led me to The Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina, where I pursued a degree in Political Science with a focus on Pre-Law and a minor in Business. Following graduation, I took a year off, working at a local law firm in Charleston before attending Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama, where I obtained my degree in 2001.

During my time at law school, I was actively engaged in various extracurricular activities, student organizations, and intramural events, while simultaneously working at a law firm for the last two years of my studies. Post-graduation, my goal was to return to South Carolina, leading me to clerk for the Honorable Paul E. Short, then serving as the Circuit Court Judge for the Sixth Judicial Circuit in South Carolina, who currently serves on the South Carolina Court of Appeals. Following my clerkship, I gained diverse experience working across different legal areas and various law firms before establishing my own practice in 2006.

Throughout my legal career, I've navigated numerous jury and bench trials and have been involved in hundreds of contested court matters. My primary focus has always been honing my skills in the courtroom. I am dedicated to providing focused, and when necessary, assertive representation for my clients. Aiming to be an effective advocate in the State's courts requires a deep understanding of the court processes. My ultimate aim has always been to be the best trial advocate for my clients, whether in Family Court, Circuit Court, or Magistrate's Court, with the unwavering dedication to securing favorable outcomes for those I represent.
