About John H. Kim, Esq.

John, prior to establishing the JK Law Firm, LLC, boasts a wealth of experience in both civil and criminal litigation. His journey in law began as claims counsel for a Fortune 500 insurance company, where he adeptly defended against a spectrum of personal injury and tort litigation. Prior to that role, he honed his legal skills at a boutique law firm in Atlanta, specializing in the defense of various liability cases, including general, complex, motor vehicle, and trucking litigation.

His transition to civil litigation followed a successful tenure as an Assistant District Attorney in Spalding and Fulton Counties. Here, he effectively prosecuted numerous felony cases through trial. Preceding this, John immersed himself in the judicial process by clerking for judges in Floyd County Superior Court, post law school. His passion for the courtroom was ignited during his time in law school, participating in the Prosecutorial Justice Program under the Third-Year Practice Act. Throughout his law school journey, he held leadership positions as President of the Asian Law Students Association and the Education Law Students Association.

Originally from Northern Virginia, John relocated south for law school and has since made Georgia his home. His educational background includes a B.A. in Political Science from Virginia Tech and a J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law. Now residing in Gwinnett County, John finds joy in playing golf, tinkering with his Triumph motorcycle, and passionately supports both the Hokies and Bulldogs as an avid fan of both teams.
