About Christopher Sherwood
Christopher H. Sherwood's educational journey began at Loyola University in 1987, where he obtained his Bachelor of Business Administration Degree. He continued to excel academically and, in 1993, earned his Master of Business Administration from the same institution. His commitment to academic excellence earned him membership in the prestigious Beta Gamma Sigma and Alpha Sigma Nu Honor Societies during his time in business school.
In 2001, Chris achieved another milestone when he received his Law Degree from Loyola Law School and was subsequently admitted to the Louisiana Bar. His dedication to legal studies was evident through his receipt of Law Excellence Awards in Injured Employee Remedies and Compensation Rights, as well as Louisiana Probate. Notably, he was honored with the Leon Sarpy Award for his outstanding performance in Louisiana Probate. His legal practice extends to all Louisiana state courts and the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of Louisiana.
Beyond his professional achievements, Chris leads a fulfilling personal life in New Orleans with his wife, Michel, and two children. He is deeply engaged in community activities, demonstrating his commitment to making a positive impact. Chris is an active member of the Community Action Committee of the Louisiana Bar Association and generously provides Notary Services to the homeless through his involvement in HELP.
His community leadership extends to various organizations. Chris has served on the Board of Directors of the New Orleans Speech and Hearing Center, held a leadership role on the Board of Directors of Junior Associated Catholic Charities as President, chaired the Technology Council on the Board of Trustees of St. Andrew's Episcopal School, and contributed to the Loyola University Alumni Board of Directors. In recognition of his outstanding contributions to the community, Chris was honored as the Metairie Jaycees' Man of the Year for 1996.
