About Michael Lambert
Michael H. Lambert, a native of Daytona Beach, Florida, established his legal career close to his roots. After graduating from law school, he began as an Assistant State Attorney in 1974, gaining extensive experience in prosecuting offenses at all levels. Subsequently, in February 1979, he transitioned to private practice. His legal expertise spans various areas, including personal injury, injunctions, and a primary focus on criminal law, encompassing everything from bond hearings to trials covering a wide spectrum of cases: Petit Theft, DUI, Grand Theft, Sexual Battery, Murder, and diverse drug offenses.
Active within numerous legal associations, Michael is a member of the American Bar Association, the Florida Bar Association, and the Volusia County Bar Association, where he held the role of Treasurer in 1979. He also contributed to its Inns of Court. His involvement extended to the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, where he served on the Board of Directors from 1998 to 2011, and the Volusia County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, where he held roles as President, Vice President, and Chapter Representative.
Additionally, he served for over eight years on the Seventh Judicial Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission, culminating in his leadership as Vice Chair and Chair until 2012. With a legal career spanning more than 50 years, Mike is consistently recognized as a Preeminent Lawyer with an AV rating in Martindale Hubbell. His personal life intertwines with his professional pursuits; he's been married to Kathy for 43 years and has three adult children residing in the Volusia County area. Bryan, his oldest son, is also a practicing lawyer alongside him. Beyond the legal realm, Michael actively engages in the community, contributing his time as a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church and coaching area youth in football, basketball, and baseball.
