About Dawn M. Jones

Before establishing The Firm of Dawn M. Jones, LLC, Dawn harnessed her extensive medical background to inform her legal practice, primarily defending pharmaceutical product and consumer goods manufacturers in nationwide product liability, toxic tort, and mass tort litigation during her tenure as a Senior Attorney at King & Spalding LLP. Additionally, she served as an Associate General Counsel for the Grady Health System, the largest nonprofit public hospital system in Georgia. In her role as AGC, Dawn adeptly handled a range of responsibilities, including defending Grady in premises liability and malpractice cases, safeguarding the organization's business interests in contracts and service leasing, conducting employment investigations, addressing EEOC claims, and managing regulatory compliance matters, among other in-house duties. Dawn commenced her legal career at Cozen O'Connor in Atlanta, where she actively defended healthcare providers insured by her clients and provided insurance coverage opinions for cases across the southeastern United States.

Beyond her legal pursuits, Dawn is an active member of the First Congregational Church United Church of Christ, where she serves on the Usher Board. She has held and continues to hold various leadership roles in state and local bar associations and nonprofit organizations. Dawn has received numerous awards and honors that acknowledge her outstanding contributions to both the community and the legal profession.

Dawn holds a Law degree from Georgia State University College of Law, a Master of Science degree in Critical Care Nursing/Clinical Nurse Specialist from Georgetown University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Virginia. She is licensed to practice law in the State of Georgia and is admitted to all Georgia state courts, as well as the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.
