About Bradley W. Hertz
Bradley W. Hertz has built a distinguished 35-year career practicing in political and election law and litigation across California. With experience in state and federal trial and appellate courts, Brad has skillfully represented clients in cases involving initiatives, referenda, recalls, ballot access, election contests, voter pamphlets, campaign finance, and First Amendment issues. A Brown University alum and Georgetown University Law Center graduate, Brad launched his own firm in 2024, after roles as Partner at the Sutton Law Firm, Of Counsel to Reed & Davidson, and an associate at Buchalter Nemer. Brad has also handled cases before the Federal Election Commission, Fair Political Practices Commission, and local enforcement agencies. His academic contributions include teaching Election Law and Civil Procedure at Chapman University School of Law and serving on the Los Angeles County Superior Court mediation panel.
Before his legal career, Brad was a political consultant, a delegate at a national Presidential Convention, and a statewide communications director for a Presidential campaign. He also served as an aide to a United States Senator in both Washington, D.C., and Los Angeles. A past President of the California Political Attorneys Association and a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, Brad is a recognized speaker and author on political and election law issues. He serves on several non-profit boards and lives in Woodland Hills, CA, with his wife and three adult children.
