About Adam Touma

Adam, a South Carolina native, was born and raised in Columbia. He pursued his undergraduate studies at Clemson University, earning a degree in History in 2013, before returning to Columbia to attend the University of South Carolina School of Law, where he graduated in 2017. During law school, Adam served as the President of the Intellectual Property Society. In 2018, Adam relocated to Greenville to clerk for the Honorable Robin B. Stillwell in the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit. This pivotal experience enriched his understanding of the judicial process, providing insights into how judges perceive trials and pleas, and taught him to effectively evaluate courtroom arguments while avoiding common errors made by trial attorneys.

Subsequently, Adam joined the Public Defender’s office, where he vigorously defended numerous clients across Greenville County, gaining extensive familiarity with the local courthouse dynamics and sharpening his litigation skills. He is currently licensed to practice in all South Carolina and Federal courts, primarily handling cases in Greenville and the Upstate region as a founding partner at Touma Law Group. Beyond his civilian legal career, Adam serves as a First Lieutenant in the Judge Advocate General’s (JAG) Corps, where he provides comprehensive legal support to the Army and its personnel, engaging in everything from legal advisement to senior officials to handling various criminal and civil matters.

Adam is also a proud Syrian-American, deeply influenced by his heritage and the values of hard work and dedication instilled by his parents. Outside the office, he is an active participant in community services, such as judging local mock trial competitions, and enjoys spending quality time with his family and his dog, Arno.
