Matthew J. Murphy is the managing Partner and Shareholder at Murphy Law Firm, where he fervently represents clients across various legal realms, including workers’ compensation, personal injury, wrongful death, trucking and auto accidents, and employment issues. A native of Great Falls, Matt graduated from Charles M. Russell High School in 2004 and went on to earn a degree in political science from the University of Montana in 2009. During his undergraduate studies, he also explored international law in Rome, Italy.

Prior to starting law school in 2010, Matt spent time teaching English in Costa Rica and interned at Montana Legal Services in Missoula, providing free legal aid to those in need. He graduated with a Juris Doctor from the University of Montana School of Law in 2012. During his time in law school, he interned at the Missoula County Prosecutor's Office, successfully bringing numerous claims to verdict with a 100% success rate.

In his legal career, Matt has skillfully argued cases in front of various tribunals, achieving multiple favorable decisions in the Montana Workers’ Compensation Court, the Montana Human Rights Commission, and during Social Security Disability hearings. Matthew Murphy has been recognized as one of the 2024 Mountain States Rising Stars, a prestigious accolade awarded to just 2.5% of attorneys in the region, reflecting his excellence in legal practice and his commitment to his clients.
