About Adam M. Lustberg

Adam M. Lustberg is a dedicated attorney who concentrates his work on defending individuals facing criminal investigations or charges. His commitment to criminal defense began during his time as a first-year law student at Seton Hall University School of Law, when he interned with the Essex County Public Defender’s Office through the Pro Bono Program. In his third year, he returned to the Public Defender’s Office via Seton Hall’s Juvenile Justice Clinic, where he represented numerous juveniles at initial proceedings. Since then, he has represented clients through every phase of the criminal justice process, including arraignments, detention hearings, and jury trials. Notably, he has appeared in over 30 detention hearings under New Jersey’s reformed criminal justice system.

A 2004 graduate of Seton Hall University School of Law, Adam passed the bar exams in both New Jersey and New York that same year and is admitted to practice in both states. Over the course of his career, he has defended clients facing a broad range of charges, from minor offenses in Municipal Court to serious crimes such as homicide in Superior Court. His experience spans cases involving allegations of manslaughter, burglary, aggravated assault, weapons offenses, human trafficking, and other complex charges. In every matter he handles, Adam emphasizes thorough preparation, strategic collaboration, and unwavering advocacy to secure the best outcomes for his clients.

Throughout his legal career, Adam has garnered recognition for his work in criminal defense. He holds a perfect rating on Avvo, has been named to the “Super Lawyers – Rising Stars” list for six consecutive years, and was included among “Bergen’s Best Lawyers” by (201) Magazine.
