About M.J. Hall

A lifelong Wyoming resident, M.J. Hall comes from a family with deep roots in the state, tracing back eight generations. Born and raised in Cheyenne, she remains dedicated to serving her community through her legal work. After earning her law degree from the University of Wyoming College of Law in 2014, she began handling cases in domestic relations, including divorce, child custody, visitation, and matters involving domestic violence.

Her experience also extends to various civil litigation areas, including employment disputes, landlord-tenant conflicts, medical malpractice, contract issues, and criminal defense. M.J. was part of the legal team involved in the landmark Marriage Equality cases Guzzo v. Mead and Courage v. State of Wyoming, contributing to significant legal progress in the state.

During law school, she simultaneously completed a Master’s in Public Administration while actively engaging in leadership roles. She served as Vice President of the Wyoming Trial Lawyers Association, led as President of the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, and was inducted into the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi.
