About Jamison Barkley
Jamison Barkley advocates for clients across New Mexico, handling civil rights cases and representing individuals in employment and personal injury matters in both state and federal courts. With more than 15 years of legal experience, she has built a strong reputation as both a trial and appellate attorney, committed to pursuing justice for those she represents.
Her courtroom successes include an $800,000 jury verdict in Albuquerque in 2022 for a woman who faced workplace harassment and retaliation under the New Mexico Human Rights Act. In 2016, she and co-counsel secured a $1.5 million verdict in Santa Fe for a client falsely accused of fraud by an employer. She has also helped clients obtain significant settlements in a range of employment and civil rights disputes.
Before entering private practice, Jamison gained experience with the New Mexico Legislature, the City Attorney’s Office in Santa Fe, and as a law clerk for the New Mexico Supreme Court. She earned her law degree from the University of Colorado Boulder, where she contributed to law review and interned with Colorado Legal Services’ Migrant Farm Worker Division.
Beyond her legal work, Jamison is dedicated to community service. Since 2017, she has been a board member for Youth Shelters and Family Services, an organization providing crisis housing, transitional support, and counseling to homeless and at-risk youth in Northern New Mexico and Gallup.
