About Kelly Alfreds
Kelly M. Alfreds is a partner at the Steinberg Law Firm who ensures clients understand their rights, the legal process, and any relevant details of their cases. She maintains open communication, providing peace of mind and helping clients secure the benefits they deserve.
In her workers’ compensation practice, Ms. Alfreds gathers crucial documentation, calculates and explains wage benefits, prepares clients and witnesses for hearings, and takes depositions to confirm work-related injuries. She also negotiates with insurance companies to secure fair settlements and covers both present and future medical needs.
Ms. Alfreds handles personal injury cases involving automobiles, motorcycles, trucks, and medical malpractice, recognizing the financial and emotional burdens clients face when medical bills accumulate. She advocates diligently for favorable resolutions on their behalf.

A graduate of the Charleston School of Law cum laude, Ms. Alfreds was published in the Charleston Law Review for her article, “When Courts Determine Legislative Intent: Harsh Criteria for Lifetime Benefits Under the South Carolina Workers’ Compensation Act.” She resides in Summerville with her husband, son, and their Boston terrier.
