Anthony T. DelNero advocates for clients in both State and Federal courts throughout North Carolina. His legal background includes extensive time at the Mecklenburg County District Attorney’s Office, where he gained firsthand knowledge of how the State evaluates and prosecutes cases. This experience provides valuable insight when defending clients against criminal charges.

During his tenure as a prosecutor, he handled a broad spectrum of cases. He began on the Misdemeanor team, working on matters ranging from minor infractions to more serious offenses such as DWI, assault, and sexual battery. His time in this role included extensive trial work, with a significant focus on DWI cases. He later transitioned to the misdemeanor appeals team, where he argued cases before juries and managed felony probation violations. His promotion to the felony drug team allowed him to handle cases involving controlled substances, from minor possession charges to large-scale trafficking cases.

In 2018, Anthony shifted his focus to criminal defense, leaving the District Attorney’s Office to represent individuals facing criminal charges. He spent several years at a private law firm before launching his own practice in 2023. Throughout his career, he has handled a wide range of cases, from minor traffic violations to severe felony charges, including homicide. His deep understanding of prosecutorial strategies allows him to assess cases from multiple perspectives, benefiting those he represents.
