About Richard C. Simons

R. Christopher Simons is an experienced criminal defense and traffic attorney who has served over 5,000 clients in a variety of legal matters, including minor traffic violations. Mr. Simons earned his B.A. from William Jewell College in 2004, graduating summa cum laude and appearing on the Dean’s List every semester. He received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Law in 2008, during which he served as director of the Public Interest Law Program, participated on the National Trial Advocacy Team, and interned at the Jackson County Public Defender’s Office.

Licensed in both Missouri and Oklahoma, Mr. Simons previously worked for the Wirken Law Firm, served as a contracting FOIA analyst for the Department of Homeland Security, and held a position as a corporate litigator and compliance officer for a large restaurant group. He is the founder of Speeding Ticket KC and has been recognized on the Missouri Pro Bono Wall of Fame. His dedication to clients has also earned him multiple attorney awards.
