About Jonathan Street

Jonathan Street was raised in Bristol, Tennessee, nestled on the far eastern side of the state. Since earning his law degree from Wake Forest University in 2001, he has made Nashville his home. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville—an experience he fondly recalls, especially during football season.

Upon arriving in Nashville, Jonathan launched his legal career by opening his own practice under the guidance of the Higgins Firm. Like many attorneys starting out, he gained hands-on experience by taking a wide range of cases, including criminal defense, personal injury, small business conflicts, and the occasional divorce.

Over time, Jonathan gravitated toward advocacy on behalf of employees and consumers. His work often involves standing up for individuals facing unfair treatment in the workplace or as customers. He has brought successful legal action against a variety of powerful entities, including insurance companies, national restaurant chains, Fortune 500 corporations, and government agencies.

Jonathan handles cases involving wage and hour violations, employment discrimination, retaliation, wrongful denial of insurance claims, consumer fraud, and civil rights matters. He is committed to helping clients assert their rights and find justice when facing unequal power dynamics.

Outside the office, Jonathan is an enthusiastic supporter of University of Tennessee athletics, a loyal Tennessee Titans fan, and a devoted companion to his bulldog, Butch. He also enjoys traveling and exploring new places whenever time allows.
