About Stephen Newland
Stephen S. Newland has been practicing law for nearly 30 years and is considered an authority by many in the field of real estate, foreclosure defense, bankruptcy and estate planning.
Due to Steve's expertise he is often asked to speak to fellow attorneys at bar association seminars to instruct other lawyers on how to assist their clients. Steve has been a featured speaker at various bar association seminars on topics such as:

In foreclosure defense cases, Steve has been successful in getting lenders to provide clients loan modifications where the lenders were previously unwilling to provide modifications. Steve has also succeeded in getting people back their homes even after the banks have taken the homes through foreclosure sales.
Due to Steve's success in defending foreclosures, he has one of the largest foreclosure defense practices in the Chicago area. His bankruptcy practice has been featured on the front page of the Northwest Herald.
Steve handles hundreds of real estate closings each year, has completed many thousands in his career, and with most of his clients being return clients or referred to him from other clients or people in the industry you can be assured you would be getting tremendous representation.
Steve was recently asked to serve on the Board of Directors of the Illinois Real Estate Lawyers Organization, which is the preeminent real estate organization for lawyers. Steve is also a former Co-chair of the Real Estate Committee of the Lake County Bar Association
