About Meleaha M. Kimrey
I hail from Burlington, North Carolina, where I spent my formative years. Following high school, I pursued my undergraduate education at Duke University, graduating in 2002. Soon after, I relocated to Macon, Georgia, to attend Mercer Law School. Upon completing my legal studies in 2005, I felt drawn to return to my home state. My professional journey took root in 2006 at the Cumberland County Public Defender’s Office, where I served as an Assistant Public Defender. In January 2010, I transitioned into private practice and co-founded Hogan – Kimrey, LLP. Subsequently, in February 2015, I established Kimrey Law, PLLC.
Throughout my career, I've dedicated myself to criminal defense in Cumberland County, accumulating a decade of experience handling cases ranging from minor infractions, such as seatbelt violations, to serious charges like murder. My approach to each case is deeply personal—I handle them as if I were the individual facing charges. Every case and every individual involved matters profoundly to me. My trial experience is comprehensive, spanning from bench trials in District Court to jury trials in Superior Court. I am unwavering in my commitment to fiercely represent you and safeguard your rights at every turn.
