About April I. Halle
Ms. Halle is the founder of The Halle Law Firm, P.A.
She is an experienced litigator with over 25 years of experience in commercial litigation, family law and corporate transactions. The scope of her practice is unique. She represents corporate clients in contractual disputes involving a host of areas including real estate/leases, employment/non-competes, shareholder matters and business torts, as well as individuals in matrimonial disputes such as divorce, alimony, equitable distribution, and post-judgment matters.
In addition to litigating disputes, she provides transactional services for her corporate and family law clients – from shareholder agreements and buyout agreements to prenuptial and postnuptial agreements. Her corporate and matrimonial practice areas are complimentary to each other as they have the commonality of being partnerships (whether business or familial and whether formation or dissolution).
Because of her experience in the substantive areas of corporate transactions, real estate and securities, she brings a multi-faceted approach to her high net-worth divorces involving businesses, real property and brokerage accounts. She is often called upon to assist other family law practitioners with these complex issues.
Ms. Halle has been appointed as a Special Magistrate for the Complex Litigation Unit of the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit in and for Broward County Florida and as a Guardian Ad Litem in the Family Court for the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit in and for Broward County Florida, and serves as a mediator.
Ms. Halle believes in helping people through her commitment to both her profession and her community. In addition to her history of community work with cancer research, Jewish Federation, AIPAC, and the Fort Lauderdale Film Festival, her passion is the work she does at JAFCO volunteering at a children's shelter and mentoring foster children.
