Joseph A. Marra is admitted to practice in the State and Federal Courts of New York and New Jersey (1984), as well as the United States Tax Court (1996) and the United States Supreme Court (1998). He earned a B.B.A. in Accounting, cum laude, from Iona College, followed by a J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law and an L.L.M. in Taxation from New York University School of Law.

His early career included roles as an Intern Staff Accountant at Price Waterhouse, a Legal Assistant and Associate Attorney at the Law Offices of Mark A. Varrichio, an Assistant District Attorney in the Bronx, and a Senior Tax Consultant at Deloitte, Haskins, & Sells. He has been listed in multiple editions of Who’s Who, reflecting his involvement in the legal and business communities.

Mr. Marra is a member of the Westchester County, New York State, and Yonkers Bar Associations, as well as the Columbian Lawyers Association and the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers. His leadership roles include serving as Vice President of both USA500Clubs’ White Plains II chapter and the Somers Central School District Board of Trustees. He has been appointed Guardian ad Litem by the New York Surrogate’s Court and Referee by the New York Supreme Court. His dedication to public service has earned him accolades such as the 2008 Elder Law Friendly Business Award from the Yonkers Chamber of Commerce and the 2023 Outstanding Faculty Award from the National Business Institute.
